The film, which was shot in the summer of 2023, tells the story of Arthur Langerman: his family history, his collection and his search for the roots of antisemitic stereotypes. It will be shown in the framework of a special screening at the cinema Filmkunst66 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Further information and registration here. The traveling exhibition “#FakeImages: Unmask the Dangers of Stereotypes”, which has been curated by the Kazerne Dossin Museum and supported by ALAVA, opens at the Mundaneum in Mons (Belgium). It draws on the Langerman Collection to show the worrying development of antisemitic ideas in Europe, confronts visitors with the effects of propaganda and informs them about how they can respond effectively to “fake news” and stereotypical images.
